Description
This is a temporary position covering a family leave. Position will run approximately from January 6 through April 1 with two/three a week training in the beginning of December to learn the role. The hours will be M-Th 9:00 am-5 pm and Friday 9 am- 3pm (may be slightly later).
Job Summary
The Sager Office Administrative Assistant is responsible for the daily operations of the school administrative office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
Collecting and inputting attendance records and discipline data
Student interactions
- General assistance
- Helping with nursing needs when the nurse is not available
- Advising students of changes in transportation plans
External communication
- Answering phones
- Helping parents in the office as needed
- Managing online postings
- Generating emails to the parents
Internal Communication
- Greeting and helping in office as needed
- Managing internal phones (PA system)
- Generating emails to the teachers
- Communicating with maintenance as needed
Collecting and managing paperwork
Parent Organization assistance including yearbook, picture day, student supplies and other tasks as needed
Organizing mailings – paper and electronic
Manage student and substitute teacher files
Checking in substitute teachers in the morning
Organizing field trip requests, permission forms, payment, transportation and lunches
Other tasks as determined by the leadership team
