Temple De Hirsch Sinai is looking for a PT education coordinator to join our collaborative team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with a variety of people, has excellent organizational skills and has a positive, can-do attitude.
This person would be responsible for coordinating logistics and running our Sunday morning Seattle religious school program, working with teachers on lesson planning, and making sure all logistical details are in place to keep our program running smoothly.
What you bring:
- You have a high level of responsiveness and a friendly “tone” through email.
- You have experience with lesson planning, ability to differentiate lesson plans, and support teachers in following our curriculum
- You will be able to support our teachers with addressing first level behavior issues and communicate with parents when necessary
- You will be able to work with madrichim to support their productive participation in our programs
- You will be able to communicate weekly with teachers about schedules and details for each Sunday program
- You will be able to communicate with other members of our Education Team and TDHS staff to make sure programming is in alignment with our calendar
- You can keep track of specialist schedules and communicate effectively with teachers
- You can help parents with questions in a professional manner
- You can work with members of our facilities team to submit setup requests
- You are open to taking on other tasks and projects needed by our education team within the hours allotted
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required, and college degree preferred
- At least 3 years of education-related experience
- Ability to work with Microsoft Sharepoint or ability to learn quickly
- Experience in a Jewish educational setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with all ages (students-parents and TDHS staff)
This is a part-time 10-14 hour a week position that requires being in person on Wednesday from 10-1pm (approx.) at our Bellevue campus and Sunday morning from our Seattle Capitol Hill campus from 8:00am-12:30pm. Other hours can be done remotely. This position runs from August-May.
Pay- $26-$28/hr (non-exempt)
