Job Title: CBI Religious School Inclusion Coordinator
Part-Time (approx. 6 hours/week) | $40/hour | On-site at Congregation B’nai Israel

At Congregation B’nai Israel, we believe every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated in their Jewish learning journey. The Inclusion Coordinator ensures our Religious School is a welcoming, accessible space for all learners. This role supports students with diverse learning needs, partners with families to create individualized learning goals, and collaborates with educators to foster inclusive classroom environments.

Supervision

The Inclusion Coordinator reports to the Director of Family and Community Learning and works closely with Religious School teachers. Familiarity with our curriculum, policies, and educational approach is essential.

Family Partnership

  • Review Religious School registrations to identify any students who may benefit from additional learning support.
  • Collect and review IEPs, 504 Plans, or other relevant documents; ensure timely submission.
  • Meet with families to understand student needs and co-create individualized support plans.

Educator Collaboration

  • Share relevant student information with teachers ahead of the school year or upon enrollment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons and incorporate strategies that support varied learning styles.
  • Provide guidance on differentiation, inclusive classroom practices, and available resources.
  • Support smooth student transitions between grades.
  • Co-lead professional development sessions focused on inclusive teaching.

Student Support

  • Provide targeted support (in-class or pull-out) for academic, social, or behavioral needs.
  • Model inclusive, engaging activities that reflect a variety of learning styles and strengths.
  • Promote classroom environments where all students feel respected, valued, and empowered.
