POSITION: ECE Extracurricular & Camp Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Early Childhood Education

SALARY RANGE: $63k - $67k

EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Exempt - Year-round

Our ECE is a play based, developmental, year round program in our Reform Synagogue. We offer early and late care programming as well as after school enrichment. During the summer months we have a Summer Camp that offers more flexible options for children. This position will develop, organize, create marketing materials and supervise all aspects of  ECE Camps (Summer, Winter, and Spring Camps), and oversee early/late care and after school enrichment programs. This position will also assist with daily running of ECE programming in conjunction with the Administration Team.



  • Create marketing materials and curriculum for enrichment and Camp programs 
  • Coordinate all aspects of Winter & Spring Mini Camps and Summer Camp
  • Serve as Camp Coordinator for Mini and Summer Camp Programs
  • Supervise ECE Late care, enrichment and camps to ensure that staff are providing activities aligned with school and licensing requirements
  • Monitoring enrichment and camp programming to be aligned with marketing materials 
  • Oversee all aspects of Enrichment Classes and Extended/Late Care programming - including recruitment, hiring, supervising and budgets
  • Provide administrative coverage during Mini Camps 
  • Attend Temple/School holiday Events as needed 


  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position
  • BA in Early Childhood or comparable field
  • Early Childhood Administration coursework completed (Preferred)
  • Ability to organize time, space, materials and groups
  • Experience creating marketing materials
  • Proficiency in creating high quality programming
  • Ability to create and maintain organizational systems 
  • Ability to recognize students’ developmental needs
  • Understanding of the development of parental involvement and programming
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Function as a team member
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as needed
  • Work experience in a Jewish setting preferred
  • Prior work with summer camps is a plus, but not required
  • 3 units of Early Childhood Administration coursework or equivalent qualification
  • Proof of vaccination requirements for Ca. State Licensing and Temple
