Religious School Teachers

We are looking for passionate and innovative educators to join our vibrant Religious School community for 2024-2025. Ramat Shalom Beth Israel is warm, welcoming, unaffiliated congregation in Plantation, Florida with approximately 375 families.

Our Sunday morning Torah school consists of Pre-K through 7^th grade, emphasizing experiential learning and relationship building as keys to helping our students develop a strong Jewish identity.

Each grade focuses on Hebrew language, Jewish holidays, and Jewish values through the lens of their overarching curricular topic. Teachers are asked to write their own lesson plans based on the curriculum with assistance by the clergy as needed.

Additionally, Wednesday (4^th-7^th grade) teachers are asked to create and lead both Hebrew and elective classes for our older students, designed to explore Judaism through various lenses and topics.

Teaching is in-person, and our school meets on the following days and times:

Sundays (whole school)-9:30am-12:00pm

Wednesdays (4^th-7^th grades, teen programming)-4:30-6:30pm

Salary is $45-55/hr, based on education and previous experience.
