Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit think tank focusing on the Middle East and Israel is seeking an experienced editor.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as an editor and writer. Must be able to accurately edit native-speaker-level English reports, as well as improve reports by writers with more limited fluency. Must be able to have some flexibility in working hours and occasionally on weekends, according to breaking news and events.

Preferences include a B.A. in English, Journalism, or related area of study, with background or studies (or demonstrated interest) in Middle East topics. Familiarity with AP Stylebook/AMA Manual of Style is a must. Should be able to multi-task several projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Must be organized and detailed-oriented. Self-motivation is essential, as is punctuality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, as well as a willingness to learn basic website posting.

Work is expected to be done in-office (not remote).
