Brauser Maimonides Academy is a Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida that is committed to academic excellence in both Judaic and General Studies, while maintaining a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment.

We seek an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who is committed to upholding our key values of academic excellence, religious commitment, and character development. This teacher must possess a passion for cultivating the whole student through modern pedagogical approaches, have the ability to work collaboratively, and possess a good sense of humor. Collaborative work experience to propel teaching and learning methods, as well as the design of curriculums, is highly desirable.

The responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to, aligning instruction with current standards, developing weekly lesson plans tailored to the educational needs of each student, employing a range of instructional strategies, communicating efficiently with parents and other professionals to foster student knowledge, responding to student needs according to their developmental stage, managing the educational setting to encourage positive student behavior, collaborating with other professionals and parents for the benefit of the students, designing and implementing instructional strategies as necessary, collecting and reporting student data in a timely and precise manner, and supervising students during non-instructional times.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred.

Previous experience working in a classroom setting, particularly in a Jewish Day School or other religious school environment.

Knowledge of Jewish history, culture, and religious practices preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and parents.

Willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Demonstrated ability to work with children.

  • This is a full-time position. 7:45 am - 4:00 pm, (2:45 pm on Fridays) This is a 10-month position
  • Starting date: August 14, 2024
  • Salary is commensurate with experience, with a very competitive salary and benefits.
