The College Counseling Department at Kehillah Jewish High School is seeking a dynamic professional who takes pride in building trusting relationships with students and parents and assisting families in developing realistic options for individualized college application plans. Working with the Director of College Counseling, this position will support all aspects of college and gap-year planning including course selection, college application advising, recommendation letters, coordination of on-site college and university admissions visits, and SCOIR training for students, families, and faculty.

This is a 10-month, Full-Time, Exempt position with full benefits starting immediately.

Kehillah is a vibrant community where students thrive. Joyfully Jewish, we are committed to inclusion, equity, excellence, and creating brave spaces for learning. Our school is a supportive teaching community that embraces collaboration, outside-the-box thinking, and innovative pedagogy. We are a community that fosters a culture of mutual respect, diversity, and inclusion. Each student is challenged, actively encouraged, and supported to reach their potential.

COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY

We believe we best prepare our students to make the world a better place when we embrace diversity. Kehillah is committed to creating an environment where all members of our community truly value themselves and others, evoking a communal sense of belonging. We are committed to teaching students that the interconnectedness and value of all human beings also compel us to work collectively toward equity and social justice. Daily, we build a community that appreciates and celebrates differences as well as a society that empathetically confronts the ways individuals, institutions, and systems have oppressed others based on gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, disability, and other aspects of identity. By clearly understanding the past and the present of these dynamics, students will develop the capacity to help create a better future for all. We acknowledge that this work is ongoing and ever-evolving.
