We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced educator for the position of Interim Lead Primary Elementary Teacher. This is a temporary, full-time position beginning February 2026 and is expected to last through the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.  

We are looking for a leader who can seamlessly step into the classroom, maintain a high standard of instruction, and positively contribute to our school culture. Exceptional performance in this interim role may lead to consideration for a permanent, full-time contract for the subsequent academic year.

Key Responsibilities

The Interim Lead Primary Elementary Teacher will be responsible for all aspects of classroom management and instruction, including but not limited to:

Instruction and Curriculum:

  • Design, plan, and deliver engaging, differentiated, and standards-aligned instruction in all core subjects.

  • Integrate technology effectively to enhance learning and engage students.

  • Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that fosters curiosity and a growth mindset.

  • Use a variety of assessment methods (formative and summative) to measure student progress and inform future instruction accurately.

  • Manage classroom logistics, resources, and student behavior effectively and positively, adhering to school policies.

  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.

  • Communicate regularly and proactively with parents/guardians regarding student performance, classroom activities, and school events. 

  • Collaborate professionally and constructively with grade-level team members and administrative staff.

  • Participate in all faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.

  • Florida Teaching Certification in Elementary Education (K-5 or specified grade range).

  • Minimum of 2 years of successful, full-time lead classroom teaching experience in a primary elementary setting.

  • Demonstrated experience with differentiated instruction and meeting the needs of diverse learners.

  • Strong knowledge of best practices in literacy and numeracy instruction.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
