Description

Temple Avodah, a vibrant Reform Synagogue, is seeking an experienced, part-time Administrative Assistant.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Enter and organize data in Shul Cloud database management system
  • Update sysngogue website and social media platforms on a timely fashion
  • Create documents including brochures, flyers for programs and meetings
  • Manage synagogue mailings and congreation-wide emails
  • Maintain synagogue ritual and program calendars
  • Answer phones and greet visitors to synagogue office
  • Serve and the administrative assistant to the Rabbi
  • Miscellaneous administrative tasks as needed

Strongly Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google office suite, MS Word, MS Excel and social media platforms
  • Familiartiy with Jewsh calendar and traditions
  • Professionial friendly demeanor and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to proactively assess and creatively solve problems
  • Graphic design skills a plus
  • Knowledge of Shul Cloud or similar software

Hours

  • Monday through Friday - 5 days with flexible hours during the day
