High Holiday Rabbi for Conservative Congregation

Temple Sholom, a progressive egalitarian Conservative congregation located in Pompano Beach, Florida, is seeking a Rabbi for the High Holidays. Founded in 1960, the Temple is the longest-standing congregation in eastern Broward County and features a magnificent and historical facility.

The Rabbi we seek will co-lead services with our Cantor, Anita Schubert, for:

-Selichot

-Rosh Hashanah: Evening, morning services and Tashlich

- Yom Kippur: Kol Nidre, morning services including Yizkor, Mincha, and Neilah

The candidate will offer sermons relevant to modern-day Jewry and their families, with a personal touch, and incorporate commentary and stories throughout services to keep worshippers engaged. The ability to carry a pleasant tune, read Torah, as well as lead preliminary services, Shacharit on at least 1 holiday, and Yom Kippur mincha is also requested. We use the Harlow mahzor. Renumeration will of course be discussed.
