Position Summary  

The Finance Coordinator will ensure that all scheduled meetings are coordinated. All aspects of the onboarding process will be handled, including the posting of roles, screening applicants and onboarding the new hires.  

 

Essential Job Duties 

Administration / Finance Team Support

  • Banking Administration.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and ensure productive finance team meetings that keep everyone aligned.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to support team-building events and initiatives that strengthen our financial culture.
  • Contribute to impactful projects that support organizational goals.
  • Assist with high-level reporting, presentations, and meetings.
  • Manage team communications, including chat groups and email lists, for seamless connectivity. 
  • Support recruiting a high-performance team.
  • General administrative support (e.g., T&E reports).
  • On-board and off-board Finance team new hires.

Recordkeeping / Training 

  • Create and maintain a shared OneDrive for the Finance team to access documentation, calendars, and required action items. 
  • Support onboarding training materials for new hires.

Accounts Payable Support

  • Support weekly and biweekly payment processing.
  • Work with employees and vendors to ensure timely submission of invoices.
  • Take charge of vendor management, including migrating vendor data to Bank of America CashPro.
  • Work with employees to process invoice and cash disbursement requests efficiently.
  • Step in as needed to support employees on special tasks as needed.

 

About You 

  • Possess an engaging and diplomatic personality who can work comfortably with Day School Leadership, students, and lay leadership is required.
  • Possess a decisive and inclusive decision style with the ability to manage small details while focusing on the big picture. An organized manager, comfortable recommending strategic direction and implementing that direction on his/her own. 
  • A sincere and genuine interest in the importance of FIDF’s mission of supporting current soldiers, veterans, and families of the Israel Defense Forces.  
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written; skill in presenting oneself and communicating in a manner that is clear, effective, and inspiring.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills, along with the ability to lead with integrity and inspiration; must be flexible and open to working with volunteer lay leaders. 
  • Possess a high level of enthusiasm and energy; be self-motivated and able to work well under pressure and handle several projects at one time. 

 

Position Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university required. 
  • 1+ years’ experience in accounting
  • Accounts payable or other financial transactional support
  • Proactive, dynamic, energetic, and creative
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and has the ability to learn new systems. 
  • Experience with Blackbaud, Financial Edge or Raiser’s Edge preferred 
  • Results focus, innovative and creative problem solving  
  • Confident, enthusiastic, persuasive influencer stimulates others to action. 
  • Extremely high level of organization and follow-through, with excellent attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong writing, administrative, time management, and organizational skills 
  • Excellent customer service 
  • Accountability for results 
  • Collaborative workstyle, effective working in and across teams

  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.  Salary 60K – 70K
