New England Jewish Academy, an early Childhood - 12th Grade Orthodox school in the West Hartford community is looking for an Elementary/Middle School Judaic Studies teacher. The ideal candidates will inspire our students, infusing them with a love of Torah, making learning real and relevant, nurturing and bringing out the unique strengths of each and every child and challenging them to get out of their comfort zones. The ideal candidate will work with other teachers to solidify a holistic orthodox curriculum.
For the Middle School position, the subjects to be taught are Chumash, Gemara, Mishna, Navi and Dinim. A very important component of both positions is to teach the children about Eretz Yisrael, to connect them with our homeland and to nurture an ahavat Eretz Yisrael.
For the Lower School position the subjects to be taught include Parshat Hashavuah, Yediot Klaliyot, Chumash, Tefilah, Dinim and Eretz Yisrael.
