Director of Learning Center

Our client, a Yeshiva in Brooklyn NY, seeks an experienced Director of Learning Center for the Girls Middle School (grades 6-8). She will be a key member of the school administration and be responsible for all aspects of student support. This includes identifying students’ individual learning profiles, coordinating any needed support both inside and outside of the classroom, and working with teachers in all areas of the curriculum.

Key responsibilities include:

• Observe students in classroom to help identify children in need of support, including  individual learning programs
• Keep Updated Student Records & manage forms for testing
• Coordinate meeting with the DOE
• Develop, oversee, and regularly evaluate the curriculum for the Learning Center.
• Implement IEPs for qualified students
• Hire and supervise P3 and related service providers
• Support classroom modifications and differentiated instruction.
• Meet with teachers about students with individual learning programs to identify classroom accommodations
• Maintain regular communication with the parents of children receiving individualized programs
• Collaborate with other administrators to provide meaningful professional development opportunities for teachers

Required Qualifications:

• BA 
• Special Education certification 
• Learning Center Administrative experience
