Middle School Intervention Specialist

 Full-Time 

Joseph and Florence Mandel Jewish Day School, a pluralistic Jewish day school, is seeking a warm, collaborative, and skilled Middle School Intervention Specialist to support students in grades 6–8 who benefit from targeted academic, social emotional, and executive functioning support. The ideal candidate will be passionate about inclusive education and experienced in evidence-based intervention, progress monitoring, and assessment within a general education setting and in a resource room.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering small-group or individualized instruction in reading, writing, math, or executive functioning
• Collaborating with faculty to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners within an Integrated Project Based Learning curriculum.
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions as needed
• Supporting implementation of IEPs, 504s, and learning plans
• Partnering with families and the student support team to ensure student growth

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (Master’s preferred)
• Special Education or Intervention certification
• Experience with middle school learners and inclusive practices
