Development Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced development professional to work in partnership with the Director of Development and the entire team to assist in implementing and strengthening a fundraising plan to support organizational growth. The ideal candidate will care deeply about the mission of our client within the Community, and have proven success as an important member of a hard-working fundraising team.

What You’ll Do:
Create and implement strategies to diversify funding sources
Represent the community events; organize and execute community engagement efforts
In partnership with the leadership team, create, support, oversee and manage a development effort
Foster a culture of fundraising, development and storytelling where everyone builds their ability to support fundraising goals
Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, oversee, and evaluate fundraising programs, including donor, annual giving other programs to support
Identify, research, cultivate, and solicit donors and donor prospects
Build and maintain relationships with donor prospects, donors
Develop and implement special fundraising campaigns, online campaigns, special events, and other fundraising activities; and develop communications and outreach materials that support fundraising programs along side of marketing team
Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of donors, their giving histories
Produce fundraising materials (e.g., solicitation letters, thank you letters, invitations, online fundraising content, progress reports, and other development and informational materials)
Maintain the donor database, in conjunction with current staff, ensuring effective data utilization, records, reports, and donor files.
Successful event management experience preferred
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of experience in a fundraising/development role and demonstrated successes with fundraising
Experience with Salesforce for Nonprofits or similar CRM.
Persuasive, charismatic, and enthusiastic communicator in both written and verbal form.
Strong relationship-building skills; ability to quickly build trust with a wide variety of constituents
Exceptional communication skills, with a knack for using data and real-life narratives to compel action and support
Desire to work hands-on in a performance-based, analytically-driven, fast-paced environment, while also working and collaborating with supporters and volunteers
Has an aptitude for making real-time decisions, measuring results and changing course when needed
This role does require proof of a completed COVID-19 vaccination series
