Title: Administrative Assistant – Director of Youth & Family Programming

 

Location: Beth Torah Benny Rok Campus, 20350 NE 26th Avenue

We are a vibrant and inclusive conservative synagogue committed to fostering a sense of community and spirituality among our members. Our Youth and Camp Department plays a pivotal role in engaging and empowering our younger members through educational, social, and recreational programs.

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to support our Director of Youth & Family Programming. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with youth, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Youth & Family Programming.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of youth & family events, programs, and activities.
  • Manage departmental communications, including emails, phone calls, and social media updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of program participants, registration, and attendance.
  • Assist with supervision of volunteers and counselors.
  • Prepare materials and resources for youth programs and events.
  • Handle inquiries from parents, participants, and community members.
  • Assist with budget tracking, expense reports, and financial documentation.
  • Collaborate with other synagogue departments and staff members as needed.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in administrative support or youth programming preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of our synagogue community.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Bi-Lingual Preferred
