Our client, The American Technion Society is currently seeking a Development Program Associate to join their growing organization. This is a hybrid role, in the office 2-3 days a week, and is based in Newton, MA.

YOUR ROLE

The Development Program Associate (DPA) role is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual with a personal desire to play a role in the continued economic success and support of Israel, and gain experience in all aspects of nonprofit management including administrative support, event planning and execution, donor relations, development strategy, board support, and alumni engagement.

The ideal candidate will be a person who has a positive and enthusiastic attitude, a great team player, is a strategic thinker, meets deadlines and exhibits strong organizational skills.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support fundraisers in the New England region of ATS through general administrative support and event planning and execution to generate excitement about the Technion and build a pipeline of donors.
  • Track gifts and prepare, send, and maintain records of gift acknowledgment letters.
  • Assist national office with review of tax letters for accuracy.
  • Assist manager with monthly reports, helping to develop data driven reports that include actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare and send acknowledgement letters for incoming gifts on behalf of the fundraisers.
  • Utilize the ATS database to maintain accurate records of all donor interactions, individuals’ programmatic interests, trends in giving and type of support to solicit.
  • Regional travel will be required.
  • Plan and manage events in conjunction with regional fundraisers and programs department, to book events, coordinate with vendors, prepare speaker itineraries, and assist attendees during the event to ensure everything is in order.
  • Manage all stages of the event registration process, from invitations to event follow-up
  • Assist fundraising staff with pipeline development and management, which includes creating, monitoring and updating constituent records, as well as suggesting fundraising opportunities
  • Maintain event budgets, record individual event registrations, attendance, and contact information.
  • Basic Office Management 

YOUR EXPERTISE

  • An analytical thinker with a strong work ethic and high level of integrity and ethics.
  • Ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment while partnering with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizing and event coordination skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • A strong connection to ATS’ mission.
  • Prior non-profit experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent experience required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Blackbaud/Raisers Edge database experience preferred

Salary range: $60,000 to $65,000, Non-Exempt
