 Executive Director - Immediate Opportunity

RiverSpring Living is seeking an Executive Director to join our dynamic team at RiverWalk, our Independent Living facility!

 The RiverSpring Living campus is set on 32 acres overlooking the Hudson River, in Riverdale, New York.  RiverSpring Living provides a full range of care solutions including nursing home care, managed long term care, assisted living programs, senior housing, rehabilitation services and specialized services such as elder abuse prevention and memory care.

 Reporting directly to the Vice President of Senior Housing, the Executive Director of RiverWalk, is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall administration of this Independent Living facility, to ensure exceptional quality and service, sustained resident satisfaction, associate engagement, operational efficiency, and strong financial results. The Executive Director develops and implements policies, procedures, and programs to promote the independence and well-being of residents, ensuring that access to identified services are available on a consistent basis to improve resident’s functioning and quality of life. The Executive Director oversees the day-to-day management of staff, ensures compliance with regulations, established guidelines and procedures and fosters a welcoming, inclusive community for all. The Executive Director will be involved in every facet of the operation - Hospitality, Dining, Programming, Sales, Maintenance, and the Business Office.

 Key Responsibilities:

 Leadership & Strategic Planning

  • Provides leadership in planning, policy development, and decision-making for the facility.
  • Ensures the facility’s financial stability and manage resources effectively.

 Operations Management

  • Oversees the operations of the independent living facility, including budgeting, staffing, and service delivery
  • Ensures a safe and healthy living environment for all residents.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures that promote efficiency

 Financial Management

  • Prepares and manages the facility’s annual budget.
  • Ensures financial sustainability by controlling costs and exploring opportunities for revenue growth

 Employee Engagement

  • Fosters a positive working environment, promoting teamwork and staff development
  • Recruits, trains, supervises and evaluates team members
  • Addresses employee concerns and ensures that staff adhere to organizational policies.

 Residents and Relations & Support

  • Maintains strong relationships with residents, ensuring their needs and concerns are met.
  • Oversees resident activities and services to promote social interaction and a high quality of life.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for resident families and address any concerns or complaints.

 Community Relations:

  • Represents the organization in the community, fostering partnerships with local businesses, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Serves as a spokesperson for the facility at public events, promoting its mission and services.

 Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Services, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in an independent living or assisted living setting.
  • Proven experience managing operations, budgets, and staff in a service-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and funding strategies.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, residents, and the community.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Compassionate and committed to improving residents’ quality of life.

 Compensation:

  • $120,000 - $130,000 annually
