The Hebrew School Project (HSP) is an independent, experiential Jewish weekly after-school program that serves children in PreK through 12th grade. HSP is a program of the Jewish Community Project (JCP), a diverse, innovative, inclusive, and open Jewish community and communal space in Lower Manhattan with a meet-you-where-you-are approach.

  • Be a flexible and adaptable team player, open to creative and collaborative work
  • Be committed to sharing your own ideas and interests
  • Be a self-starter, reliable, and an excellent communicator
  • Have an open-minded approach to Judaism and denominationalism
  • Be available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 3:00-6:30 PM from September 8-May 28
  • Be available to work without visa support

Compensation is commensurate with experience and ranges from $30-$50 per hour as a starting rate.

Lead teachers working on independent curriculum development and lesson planning may be compensated up to $80 per hour.
