Program Manager, Western States

Position

Community Security Service (CSS) is looking for a full-time Program Manager to support the planning, and delivery of program initiatives in the Western States. Reporting to the Western States Director, the Program Manager will have a familiarity with Jewish institutions and synagogues across the region, and will be proactive at onboarding new synagogues and volunteers. The Program Manager will also oversee recruitment for and logistical implementation of CSS’ young professionals training program. Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of CSS programs in the Western States and their timely execution
• Manage and support backend and volunteer operations
• Assist in the development, planning, and delivery of new programs
• Recruit candidates for and run operations for young professionals training program
• Partner with staff nationwide on creating programmatic opportunities and member engagement strategies
• Maintain success metrics for western states region
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in nonprofit, program development, organizational or community capacity building, synagogue administration, or other relevant field
• Experience working with volunteers
• Strong familiarity with Los Angeles/western region Jewish institutions and synagogues
• Strong logistics and program management skills
• Strong familiarity with Google suite software
• Interest in volunteer security
• Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality 
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.

Other considerations

Must live in Los Angeles, and must be eligible to work in the US. This is a hybrid position (work from home with occasional meetings in Miracle Mile office), and should be available for occasional evenings and weekends. Some domestic travel as needed, less than 5%.
