Description

This position is approximately 8 hours per week. Reporting directly to the Young Professional Program Directors, the Coordinator will work directly with the program assistant, directors, Beth David Board President, Rabbi/lay leaders, and community members to collaborate with a Young Professional board, fun and exciting programming, and will continue to grow a robust Jewish Young Professional community network. This position includes in-person and remote responsibilities.

 

Job Duties:

  1. Engagement:
    • As able, meet with current or potential members to enact engagement opportunities, network, and conduct market research for events and outreach, 1-3 people per week with coffee or other food expensed to synagogue
    • Search out new participants
  2. Events:
    • Coordinate 1 event every 4-6 weeks for only young professionals
    • Manage all pieces including programming, supplies needed, catering, etc.
    • Utilize quality publicity and engagement tools 
  3. Publicity:
    • Manage social media postings, events, and channels for upcoming events; invite the community
    • Publish events in community publications with Beth David Board Publicity Chair
    • Send reminder emails or individual correspondence about upcoming events
    • Calling, texting, and one-on-one email invitations to events
    • Take photos of every event for records and publication
    • Design posters/ads using Canva
  4. YP Board Administration
    • Facilitate Young Professional Board creation and administration
    • Find and engage community YP’s to join the board
    • Organize monthly board meetings
    • Creating meeting agenda and organizing catering for meetings
    • Take meeting minutes
  5. Reporting:
    • Report directly to and trained by Young Professional Director
    • Report event numbers of attendance, summaries, reports after meetings
    • Research & Reporting on similar community events – prevent competing for event dates and program type
  6. Personal Touch Engagement:
    • Send thank you notes, birthday cards, reminders, and community management communications
