Seniors At Home offers a wide range of services to help older adults live safe, healthy, and independent lives, including home care, personal assistant services, companionship, and specialized dementia and palliative care. We provide the Bay Area’s leading continuum of care for aging adults.
 
Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JFCS) is seeking a dynamic Associate Director to help lead our multi-regional Seniors At Home division – one of the Bay Area’s most trusted providers of elder care.
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Director of Seniors At Home, is a critical leadership position within Jewish Family and Children’s Services (JFCS), responsible for helping guide a $45 million, multi-regional division that provides essential services to older adults across the Bay Area.  As the trusted partner to the Director of Seniors At Home, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational and strategic functions of one of the largest senior service programs in Northern California.
 
This role offers the opportunity to shape and scale innovative programs that promote dignity, independence, and quality of life for thousands of older adults and their families.  You’ll mange complex systems, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and support strategic partnerships that ensure service excellence, fiscal sustainability, and mission alignment.  We’re seeking a high-performing leader with deep experience in aging services, program operations, and people management – someone who can drive results while fostering a collaborative, person-centered culture.
 
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
  • Salary Range: $190,000-$215,000 (depending on experience)
  • Employment Type: full-time, exempt position with benefits
  • Employer 403(b) retirement match plus additional employer contribution (subject to eligibility)

  • 16 holidays (10 federal and up to 6 Jewish holidays), annually
  • 3 weeks of vacation and 2 weeks of sick leave, annually
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead strategic initiatives and oversee service lines within the $45M Seniors At Home program.  Ensure high standards of person-centered, trauma-informed care across all program areas, while promoting consistency and excellence in service delivery
  • Oversees intake, business development, and strategic partnerships to drive client acquisition, strengthen referral pipelines, and expand service offerings in response to client needs. Collaborates with Marketing and Development to enhance visibility and community impact
  • Monitor performance metrics including revenue, staffing productivity, and expenses.  Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate billing, contract compliance, and alignment with the program’s multi-million dollar budget and service targets
  • Lead internal audits, oversee program quality metrics, and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.  Develop tools and dashboards to assess and improve program effectiveness across regions
  • Supervise program managers and staff, fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and inclusion.  Set clear goals, support professional growth, and partner with HR to ensure workforce alignment with evolving program needs
  • Implement and enhance technology platforms (e.g., case management systems, CRM tools) to support data-driven decision-making, service coordination, and organizational efficiency
  • Work with leaders across JFCS departments to integrate services, support shared initiatives, and ensure clients benefit from the full scope of agency service offerings
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Health Administration, Business Administration, Gerontology, or a related human services field is required
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Health Administration, Business Administration, or related human service field is strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of successful experience in business planning, service operations, and delivery of geriatric services
  • Extensive experience in managing people, implementing operational systems, and utilizing data and technology to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Background in sales, marketing, and customer engagement strategies required
  • Experience working within a nonprofit or social service agency is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required
  • Experience with CRM platforms, and/or case management software preferred
  • Ability to travel to all JFCS regions or program sites. If driving own vehicle, must have a valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance coverage
