Development & Engagement Manager
A nonprofit, social service, Jewish communal organization in Middlesex County seeks a motivated, full-time Development & Engagement Manager interested in a growth position. This position reports to the Development Officer, and also works with the CEO and the Board Development Vice President. The Development & Engagement Manager will be an important member of the Development team, participating in executing an aggressive fundraising and engagement plan that incorporates new and ongoing initiatives, including individual and corporate donor solicitation, stewardship, annual giving program, cultivation, engagement and fundraising events and social media outreach. Create and manage a portfolio of annual donors with whom they maintain a personal and engaging relationship. Candidates should be a proactive, self-motivated, creative, well-organized professional.

Principal Responsibilities
• Engagement, cultivation and solicitation of annual donors and prospects, including local business, corporate and vendor sponsors and donors, individuals, and through face-to-face solicitation, cultivation and fundraising events (Golf Outing, Gala, engagement events)
• Identify, research, cultivate and personally solicit and steward a portfolio of annual donors
• Work with Development Officer to coordinate and implement comprehensive development program, including annual giving, corporate partnerships, government and institutional grants, and Capital Campaign
• Create recurring gifts using annual giving levels
• Coordinate with other staff, the creation and implement of online fundraising strategies, campaigns and calls to action, including outreach for small donor fundraising
• In coordination with Development Officer, implement systems and manage resources, including Development budget and donor database, necessary to carry out fund development plans and meet goals
• Oversee and execute event logistics and timelines in coordination with internal and external partners
• Maintain budgets for all events, negotiating and tracking expenses, processing invoices and purchase order requests and fulfillments
• Provide onsite support at cultivation, engagement and fundraising events, which may require evening and/or weekend work
• Work closely with the Development Officer to establish an annual cultivation and stewardship plan/calendar, including email, social media, print, and events
• Create and implement effective communication strategies with impactful messages inspiring others to accomplish the mission and cause
• Steward donor relationships by ensuring fulfillment of benefits, along with consistent and creative appreciation activities
• Undertake leadership roles in fundraising events, including annual JCC Golf Classic, community events, parlor and other donor and prospect meetings, creative engagement and fund development events
• Support and work with the Development Vice President, CEO and Development Officer to engage and develop the fundraising and engagement effectiveness of the Board of Directors
• Other responsibilities as identified and requested

Qualifications
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, cooperation and collaboration, and commitment to the mission of the organization
• BS degree from an accredited institution required, in related field or equivalent preferred
• 2-3 years in a related role, or of development/fundraising, and/or business development experience
• Experience and success in securing gifts of four figure level and above
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills
• Ability to engage with and relate to community leaders and stakeholders, as well as diverse groups of people from all social, economic, ethnic, cultural and faith communities
• Superior attention to detail, with excellent analytical skills
• Experience working within in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, and a self-motivated, proactive, self-starter
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Gmail/GSuite
• Knowledge of prevalent donor database systems, and Daxko database system preferred
