The salary range for this role is $75,000-$80,000.

Our grant writing team is looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for making a real impact. Your work will help secure vital funding for social service programs that support people in poverty and individuals with disabilities, along with Jewish engagement and JUF’s work in Israel. In this role, you’ll lead grant submissions, build relationships with funders, and help shape programs that transform communities. What you’ll be doing:

  • Be responsible for the submission of grant proposals, reports, and budgets for a range of programs. This includes working with other JUF departments and agency partners in the areas of program planning, drafting narratives, preparing budgets, and tracking results and outcomes.
  • Act as key staff support to the community in accessing federal and state security grants. This includes providing technical assistance, reviewing applications, and becoming an expert on security grant programs.
  • Develop strong relationships with current and potential funders and partners to maintain and increase revenue for institutional priorities.
  • You will take the lead in supporting select programs with budget guidance, advocacy, and administrative oversight.
  • Support JUF Campaign and mandatory campaign-related activities on an ongoing basis.

 

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 1 year of grant writing experience is required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks, work under and meet deadlines, and work collaboratively and independently
  • Exceptional ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, employ strategic thinking, and work with senior staff
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Products
