Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston

Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Boston (JBBBS) believes that everyone deserves a friend or mentor who can make a transformative and lasting impact on their lives.

Guided by Jewish values, our programs are open to anyone who qualifies for our services or wishes to volunteer and be part of our mission to heal the world. JBBBS offers two main programs that deliver on this life-changing impact – The Mentorship Program and The Friend 2 Friend Program.

The Mentorship Program pairs children and teenagers with Volunteer Bigs who provide role modeling, encouragement, and mentorship. This support extends to the whole family, offering financial assistance, referrals to social service agencies, and holiday programming. Each year, JBBBS also awards scholarships for both camp and college to support our current and former Littles.

The Friend 2 Friend Program pairs adults with disabilities with Volunteer Friends who offer companionship and friendship. These programs aim to foster a sense of community with a focus on Jewish programming.

The success of JBBBS' matches relies on the dedication and hard work of our volunteers. Each match is supported by clinical match specialists who ensure that the needs of the entire family are met.
