LIMUDIM (IKAR)

Position: Limudim Teacher

Job Type: Part-Time (non-exempt)

Reports to: Senior Director of Education

Position Overview

IKAR is hiring energetic and passionate teachers for our Pre-K - 7th grade supplementary school, Limudim (“studies”), which meets on Saturday mornings (9:00-12:30) and Tuesday afternoons (3:30-6:30) at Shalhevet High School, and for online Hebrew.  Please let us know if you are available for all or some of these sessions.

Responsibilities and Tasks Include: 

  • Teach Judaics/elective courses on Saturdays and/or Tuesdays in person and/or Hebrew classes online.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Education to write and implement engaging lesson plans.
  • Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and one-on-one coaching sessions with the Senior Director of Education. 
  • Create a child-centered and warm learning environment where children feel seen and valued.

Salary & Benefits: The hourly pay range for this position is $30 to $70, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, part-time teachers are eligible for paid leave in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
