Job Description:
A Modern Orthodox synagogue in Queens is seeking a professional, highly organized full-time Office Manager. This individual will report to synagogue leadership and manage daily operations, finances, communications, and scheduling. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, discretion, and the ability to interact effectively with clergy, lay leaders, congregants, and the public.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing synagogue communications (email, website, social media, printed materials)
Managing financial and administrative tasks (including use of QuickBooks and Excel)
Supporting clergy and leadership with scheduling and facility coordination
Maintaining office systems and handling incoming inquiries
Collaborating with staff and volunteers on synagogue programs and events
Qualifications:
Office administration experience required
Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks
Familiarity with ShulCloud and basic graphic design tools preferred
Basic Hebrew reading/writing
Professional demeanor, discretion, and strong organizational skills
