This position interacts extensively with parents and students on all financial matters and is responsible for the assessment and collection of student tuition and fees for the high school and college divisions. This position works within the finance team and is also responsible for implementation of financial aid.



Includes but not limited to:


  • Assess and Collect student Tuition and fees
  • manage all student billing
  • Manage and collect delinquent balances
  • Ensure that charges for college students are accurate and collected in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on outstanding tuition balances to ensure collections are made.
  • Communicate with students and families to educate and support them with their accounts and payments.
  • Work with Touro counterparts and the Touro Helpdesk to address issues and resolve them.
  • Ensure that all checks and electronic receipts processed are properly and accurately deposited in a timely manner.
  • Analyze accounts to ensure accuracy. Adjusts accounts as needed.
  • Process payments.
  • Assisting the HTC/Touro Financial Aid department in ensuring that students complete their required forms and are compliant with all Title IV requirements.



 Education, Preparation, and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred
  • Three years of related experience in student billing and/or an accounting related area.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to multi-task well in a fast-paced environment
  • Good written, oral, and reading communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships.


Physical Demands

  • Extensive Use of Computers
  • Extensive time sitting and standing
  • Able to lift up to 10 lbs


Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including especially Excel
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (the Banner System) a plus
