Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Program Manager to support the planning and execution of events and provide critical administrative support to lay-led initiatives. This role requires a creative and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, juggling multiple projects while maintaining clear communication with staff and volunteer leaders.

About Us:

Temple Shaaray Tefila is a 700+ member unit Reform synagogue on the Upper East Side of New York City under the leadership of Senior Rabbi Joel Mosbacher, Cantor Todd Kipnis and Rabbi Jill Rubin, as well as a talented team of professionals. In 2025, the synagogue is celebrating its 180th anniversary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and implement all aspects of event logistics in coordination with senior staff and lay leaders.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support and guidance to lay-led committees and initiatives.
  • Partner with the Communications Manager to ensure all printed and digital materials needed for events are produced accurately and on schedule.
  •  Ensure all event-related details and data are recorded and maintained in the CRM.

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent events and deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to take initiative and adapt to evolving situations.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace
  • Knowledge of Synagogue software (e.g., ShulCloud) is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be available to work some evenings, at least one Saturday per month and during High Holy Days.

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000

Benefits: Health insurance and generous paid time off, and pension
