Description

The Ramaz School, a Nursery – Grade 12 Modern Orthodox Day School in New York City, seeks a creative visual storyteller to bring our school’s mission to life across multiple platforms. This in-person role blends graphic design, photography, videography, and website management to ensure a consistent and compelling online and offline presence. 

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who enjoys working in a team environment and can implement a visual communications plan designed to promote enrollment, retention, and fundraising.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Design compelling graphics for print, digital, and social media
    • Design signage, flyers, presentations, collateral, forms
    • Design promotional collateral (print and online) including direct mail pieces, publications, brochures, invitations, flyers, posters, newsletters, school-wide calendar, and graduation materials
    • Prepare artwork for print house and liaise with printer
  • Capture professional photography that tells our story
    • Archive photos
    • Organize photos
    • Create slideshows 
  • Produce and edit engaging short videos for campaigns, events, and social media 
  • Keep our website fresh, functional, and visually on-brand
  • Collaborate with teams to turn concepts into captivating visuals
  • Implement design and creative software trends
  • Draft shiva notices

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, multimedia, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and Canva
  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace) and basic HTML/CSS preferred
  • Strong photography and videography skills, including shooting and post-production
  • Excellent visual storytelling, layout, and typography skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of the Hebrew language

 

Salary range: $65K - $78K
