Ahavath Achim seeks a passionate and dedicated Jewish Education Administrator to join our dynamic team in creating transformative educational experiences for our community. Working closely with our synagogue clergy, you will play a pivotal role in developing, cultivating, and growing a vibrant learning center that embraces lifelong Jewish learning for community members of all ages.

This position offers the opportunity to shape meaningful Jewish experiences while supporting our community's diverse educational needs, from early childhood programs through adult learning initiatives. You will serve as a bridge between families, students, educators, and clergy, ensuring seamless coordination of our comprehensive educational offerings.

Essential Qualifications
General Skills
? Organizational Excellence: Strong organizational and project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously ? Strategic Prioritization: Skilled at prioritizing tasks and balancing multiple schedules effectively
? Communication Mastery: Clear, persuasive, and compassionate communication skills in both written and verbal formats
? Technology Proficiency: Technologically savvy and resourceful with spreadsheets, communication platforms, design tools, and adaptability to learn new applications. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Zoom, ShulCloud strongly preferred.
? Relationship Building: Kind and approachable with exceptional interpersonal skills for cultivating relationships with families, coworkers, lay leaders, volunteers, students, and clergy
? Educational Background: Experience in Jewish education, child development, and/or experiential education
? Jewish Commitment: Genuine passion for Jewish life and learning with dedication to supporting joyful, meaningful Jewish experiences across all life stages

Key Responsibilities
General Duties
? Work closely with the Associate Rabbi to provide administrative support
? Prepare emails, edit documents, and facilitate communications with congregants, families, and program participants
? Support planning, development, and execution of education programs
? Coordinate programs and events with office staff

Religious School Programs
? Prepare and manage contracts for teachers and madrichim
? Facilitate clear communication channels between families, staff, and students
? Maintain comprehensive scheduling for schoolwide events and programs
? Coordinate procurement of school supplies and refreshments
? Support planning and execution of field trips and out-of-town educational experiences
? Develop engaging marketing materials for schoolwide events in conjunction with the synagogue’s Director of Marketing
? Identify, recruit, and coordinate volunteers for educational programs
? Prepare and manage meeting agendas for religious school committee, staff, and parent meetings
? Process and manage permission slips and waivers as required
? Organize and catalog photography for promotional and archival purposes
? Support student registration processes and family onboarding

Youth Social Programming
? Negotiate and manage vendor contracts for youth programming
? Maintain detailed scheduling for all youth social programs
? Create compelling marketing materials to promote youth engagement opportunities
? Handle permission slips and liability waivers for youth activities Holiday Coordination
? Identify, interview, and coordinate hiring of qualified childcare providers over the High Holidays
? Order necessary supplies and refreshments for holiday programming
? Develop and manage comprehensive scheduling for youth activities throughout the High Holiday season
? Brainstorm, create and manage various events around various holidays like Hanukkah, Purim, and Passover.

Adult Education
? Maintain current scheduling for ongoing adult education offerings
? Serve as primary liaison between volunteer leaders and clergy
? Design and distribute marketing materials to promote adult learning opportunities and encourage community participation

? Motivated by meaning, with a deep belief in the transformative power of Jewish education

You may come from a background in Jewish education, nonprofit work, child development, or a related field. What matters most is that you bring curiosity, kindness, and a collaborative spirit to everything you do. Preferred experience: 3 to 5 years.
