POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

The RCFI Coordinator and Shinshinim Program Supervisor oversees four main components: supervising the Shinshinim program, managing host families, handling administrative and programing duties at the center, and expanding the SH program while strengthening partnerships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervising Shinshinim (SHS):

  • Participates in the selection process in US/Israel.
  • Manage annual training encompassing various aspects such as staff meetings, workshops, cultural integration, content creation, and providing relevant tools.
  • Be readily available, including weekends- all SHS working times.
  • Attends SHS events and provide feedback on their performance.
  • Maintains regular contact and conduct control conversations with partner institutions.
  • Conducts periodic feedback sessions with SHS- at least once a month.
  • Facilitates a weekly training day.
  • Ensures SHS function effectively at events under their jurisdiction.

 

Host Families:

  • Organizes host family committee, set goals, and provide support- at least once a month
  • Recruits and manages host families for SHS, including compatibility assessments and periodic follow-ups.
  • Expands the pool of host families while maintaining existing relationships.
  • Organizes appreciation events for host families- 2-3 times per year.

 

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Manages logistics related to the program, including housing, transportation, finances, and equipment.
  • Manages RCFI/ SHS budget:payments to suppliers, collect payments from partners, tracking expenses
  • Manages program evaluations, data collection, analysis, and reporting.

 

Program Expansion and Partnerships:

  • Identifies and onboards new partners for the program.
  • Explores new business opportunities and growth prospects for the center and SH program.
  • Visits partner institutions on a regular basis, maintain contact with officials, and lead learning sessions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a non-profit organization or an educational system.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience working in Jewish schools and/or the Jewish community, both formal and informal is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Israeli mentality.
  • Experience in program coordination, preferably in an educational or community-based setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and self-drive.
  • Flexible in time- Telephone availability at all hours and working days of the SHS (9:00 AM-9 PM) + presence in the field at least two evenings a week.
  • Knowledge and experience of Jewish educational environments and writing content at a variety of audiences.
  • High organizational skills.
  • Verbal and written communication abilities.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift and transport materials up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to travel locally for visits to partner institutions and attend off-site events.
  • Ability to be physically present for extended hours at events, including evenings and weekends.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office and community-based environment with frequent off-site visits.
  • Fast-paced and dynamic setting with high levels of interpersonal engagement.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work required.
  • Travel required within the region to partner organizations and events.
Salary55,000.00 - 60,000.00 Annual
