Job Description:  The Jewish Graduate Student Initiative (JGSI) is seeking a talented and motivated Logistics Coordinator to assist with all aspects of our program and event operations on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, punctual, and passionate self-starter, capable of multitasking and working independently while being a team player. The Logistics Coordinator will serve as the primary point person for logistics and operations of all organization programs and events, including on-campus events and national programs. This position can be done remotely from anywhere in the US!

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate logistics and operations for all organization programs and events, including hundreds of on-campus events and national programs (Partner Summit, JELCON, Fellowship, Connect, etc)
  • National program operations and logistics may include but are not limited to printing, nametags, food ordering and coordination, hotel and/or even space coordination, livestream and A/V needs
  • Liaise with both students and National Engagement Coordinator for campus requests
  • Keep track of and stay on top of all campus Event Requests and Speaker Requests
  • Set up event profiles on the events calendar and update the website for each event
  • Manage pre and post-event registration collection
  • Order food and supplies for each event and coordinate remote delivery/drop-off/pickup
  • Manage Eventbrite for paid events
  • Negotiate catering menus and invoices and pay invoices for events
  • Process reimbursements for students as needed
  • Coordinate delivery with vendors for large-scale events
  • Coordinate nametags and other supplies
  • Arrange printing of holiday related graphics and any other printing needed by students at nearby Fedex locations
  • Take on any administrative task as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office; preferred experience with various online applications such as Eventbrite, Dropbox, Google Apps, CRM software, Jotform, Asana, Slack, and QuickBooks Online
  • 2+ years’ experience in operations, administration, or event management
  • Understanding of the laws of Kashrut, Shabbat, and appreciation for the Jewish holidays
