Andrew Exler Marketing is seeking a creative, reliable, and motivated college student to join our team as a Jewish Culture & Sports Marketing Intern. This independent contractor role offers hands-on experience in digital marketing, nonprofit branding, and content creation, with a strong focus on organizations that celebrate and serve the Jewish community. A deep familiarity with Jewish culture and community is required, as the intern will primarily support the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (IJSHOF), a global nonprofit honoring Jewish excellence in sports. In addition, the intern will contribute to marketing efforts for other Jewish nonprofit clients within the Andrew Exler Marketing portfolio.
The position requires an average of 10 hours per week through summer 2025, with preference given to candidates interested in continuing into the 2025–2026 academic year.
Role Responsibilities:
Assist in creating and managing social media content across multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Threads, X, and Pinterest.
Support the development and execution of digital campaigns for IJSHOF and related clients to drive engagement and increase reach.
Monitor and help manage social media accounts, including responding to messages, comments, and community engagement.
Conduct research to identify social media trends, relevant events, and Jewish/cultural moments to incorporate into content.
Assisit with managing relationships with influencers, including researching relevant influencers and negotiating partnerships.
Collaborate on content strategy by brainstorming ideas and developing content calendars, ensuring all caption copy and requested graphics are delivered on time and aligned with scheduling needs.
Support basic photo and video needs, including curating, organizing, editing, and posting.
Use tools like Canva or Adobe Express to help with basic content design.
Track social media activity and assist in pulling analytics reports to evaluate performance.
Assist in publishing or editing blog and website content as needed.
Attend internal team meetings and client check-ins when applicable.
Support various digital and creative projects across the Andrew Exler Marketing portfolio.
Qualifications:
Solid understanding of the broader sports landscape, including college athletics, notable athletes (past and present), and familiarity with a range of sports beyond the major leagues.
Currently enrolled in a marketing, communications, or related program with a passion for digital marketing and social media with a graduation date no earlier than Spring 2026.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with social media platforms and analytics tools, with the ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
Willingness to learn about emerging social media trends and best practices.
Familiarity with Jewish culture & community is required.
Interest in Jewish community work and/or sports is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphic design software is a plus.
Previous experience working or interning with brand accounts is a plus.
Experience with WordPress is a plus.
Familiarity with Google and social media advertising is a plus.
