Hebrew/Judaica Teacher

3rd & 4th Grade Hebrew/Judaic teachers needed!

Temple Beth Am - The Reform Jewish Congregation of Merrick & Bellmore is seeking experienced Hebrew & Judaic teachers for our upcoming 2024/2025 school year.

We are one of the largest Hebrew Schools on the south shore of Nassau County and our Hebrew school is expanding.

Subjects will include reading and understanding Hebrew, history, culture, prayers, and holidays.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher that is proactive in classroom activities and enjoys creativity in class management and curriculum development.

School meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15-6:15pm.

Applicants should enjoy engaging and inspiring children, have experience working in a Jewish setting, and general knowledge of Jewish customs, holidays, prayers, and Hebrew. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative team environment; to be creative and innovative, and to be an integral part of building and shaping our school.
