Cantorial Soloist

Temple Beth El of Fort Myers, Fl, a 260 family Reform congregation, strives to create a welcoming, hamish atmosphere for everyone who enters. Throughout our 70-year history, we have sought to live out a spirit of warmth, community, and excellence in all that we do. TBE congregants have migrated to Southwest Florida from all directions bringing diverse backgrounds of worship and traditions. During our worship services, we join together to sing joyful music that uplifts and excites our souls, as well as experience traditional and meditative moments that connect us to past generations and our deepest selves. 

We are currently searching for a part-time cantorial soloist to join our congregation 3 times a month on Friday evenings for Erev Shabbat services and special holiday celebrations. 

The cantorial soloist/songleader will collaborate and rehearse with our rabbi and piano accompanist to create and lead meaningful Erev Shabbat services and special holiday celebrations. We do not hold Shabbat morning worship services. Additional responsibilities, such as leading our volunteer choir, life cycle event support and b'nai mitzvah teaching may be negotiated based on experience and interest.
