Through meaningful partnerships and community-driven programs, MyZuzah brings Jewish ritual to life in inclusive, accessible, and empowering ways.

Position Overview

The Director of Strategic Partnerships is a senior leadership position responsible for shaping and advancing MyZuzah’s national and international partnership strategy. This executive will cultivate high-impact relationships across the Jewish communal landscape, from federations and synagogues to philanthropic networks and global Jewish organizations.

In addition to overseeing MyZuzah’s partner portfolio, this leader will design and facilitate dynamic virtual peer learning communities and contribute strategically to relationship-based fundraising. This is an ideal role for a visionary, relationship-driven professional who thrives at the intersection of strategy, collaboration, and Jewish engagement. This is a full-time Hybrid role and reports to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership Development (60%)

  • Design and lead MyZuzah’s overall partnership strategy, identifying key growth opportunities across sectors of Jewish life.
  • Cultivate, manage, and deepen high-level relationships with stakeholders including Jewish federations, foundations, synagogues, communal leaders, and influencers.
  • Represent MyZuzah in national forums and strategic conversations to enhance the organization’s visibility and impact.
  • Create systems for partner engagement, performance tracking, and long-term sustainability.
  • Support fundraising efforts through cultivation of partner-linked donors and institutional funders, in collaboration with the CEO.

Thought Leadership & Peer Engagement (25%)

  • Develop and facilitate high-level virtual convenings, peer-learning cohorts, and communities of practice that inspire innovation and shared purpose.
  • Act as a thought leader in the Jewish engagement space, identifying trends and opportunities for MyZuzah to contribute and lead.
  • Integrate partner and audience insights into strategic planning and program development.

Strategic Fundraising Collaboration (15%)

  • Partner with the CEO to support fundraising efforts through cultivation of partner-linked donors and institutional funders.
  • Support relationship-building with key funders, participate in strategic donor meetings, and contribute to major grant proposals.
  • Identify opportunities for funding through partnerships and collaborative initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High level of expertise with demonstrated success in partnerships, strategic engagement, Jewish communal work, or related fields.
  • Deep understanding of the North American and global Jewish ecosystem, with strong existing networks preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling cross-sector partnerships and collaborative initiatives.
  • Proven track record of working with senior leadership, funders, and community influencers.
  • Exceptional communication, diplomacy, and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience with virtual facilitation and online community engagement.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think strategically while executing effectively.
  • Experience with fundraising and/or donor engagement.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to represent MyZuzah at key gatherings, events, and partner sites.

Location; While candidates across North America will be considered, preference will be given to individuals based in the Maryland/Washington, DC area. 

 

Salary115,000.00 - 135,000.00 Annual
