Temple Beth Am (TBAM) in Pinecrest, Florida, the largest reform congregation in the Southeastern United States, is seeking a Graphic Designer to support its organization.  Temple Beth Am, which also operates the Rambam Day School, and a soon-to-open new cultural and activity center, is the premier institution for Jewish life in Miami. 

In this role you will support all TBAM community marketing & communications efforts, including synagogue and day school activities

This position is a full-time exempt position and reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As an integral member of the Marketing & Communications team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, executing and finalizing multiple design projects simultaneously 
  • Design of original creative elements including, but not limited to, Monthly Magazine, Weekly Newsletters, Website and Social Media Graphics, Flyers, Banners, Brochures 
  • Understand, manipulate, color correct, and edit raw photo and video files for social and web use.
  • Prepare print-ready and web graphic files
  • Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Adhere to design standards and guidelines; deliver in accordance with deadline

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-4-year college degree, preferably in graphic design/fine art
  • Expertise with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Must be familiar with Mac OS platform
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) Mac Operating Systems, Cloud-sharing platforms (Dropbox, Google Drive, Hightail)
  • Strongly preferred but not required - Experience with Adobe After Effects
  • Reliable, dependable, and accountable to themselves and the organization
  • Self-starter, detail oriented, well organized, able to handle multiple projects at any given time and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of project management fundamentals and experience working with vendors or creative agencies

Occasional exposure to outdoor activities may be requested. Weekend and evening work in alignment with Temple activities is sometimes required.

Clearance Requirements

Level 2 background clearance as defined by the Florida Statutes/law.
