SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
As we continue to grow, Young Judaea is seeking an engaging, smart, and go-getter professional to help move development and alumni engagement efforts forward for Young Judaea (YJG). With a particular focus on creating and implementing a young professionals’ development strategy as well as an engagement strategy for alumni of recent YJ programs, the Development and Alumni Relations Associate will be an integral part of Young Judaea Global’s development team and work closely with the Communications Manager.
The Development and Alumni Relations Associate will report to the Director of Development and will help develop and execute Young Judaea development/alumni events throughout the year, help design and execute alumni communications and be a main point of contact for alumni seeking assistance with alumni reunions and gatherings. This position is a full-time position based in the New York area.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Development
• Create local and virtual events to engage prospective and current young professional donors
• Assist in coordination of major events, including fundraising gala, local and online events, and reunions
• Provide support for execution of annual campaign efforts for Young Judaea Global
• Assist with design and implementation of e-appeals and other campaigns throughout year
• Research and vet donor prospects
• Work with the Director of Development to move major donor/prospect relationships and processes forward

Alumni Engagement
• Develop and implement plan for engaging alumni of recent YJ programs
• Coordinate alumni communications (including e-newsletters, social media engagement, etc.)
• Maintain updated information for donors and alumni in CRM database as needed

JOB COMPETENCIES
• Strong experience in “managing up” to ensure department deadlines and goals are met
• Excellent skills across social media channels to drive communications strategy with alumni and donors
• High level of energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to performance and learning new skills.
• Strong experience in a fast paced, rapidly evolving startup environment with the ability to work under pressure and consistently revise approaches in response to new demand.
• A self-starter - proactive and who can hit the ground running, enjoys working in a small, lively office environment and from a remote office
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving
• Strong communicator and ability to be an ambassador for the mission of the movement

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES/CERTIFICATES, TESTING REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fundraising, event planning or related fields
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Proven success in moving projects and processes forward
• Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Etc.) and social media

COMPENSATION
• Salary Range: 55-75k commensurate with experience and competitive benefit package.
• This is a full-time position based partially in YJ’s NYC office and partially from candidate’s remote office
