Religious School Teacher

Temple Emanuel is looking to hire teachers for our Sunday morning religious school program for the 2024/2025 school year.  Our program provides learners with the tools to become empowered Jewish adults.  We prepare our students for the world by inspiring them to have compassion, empathy, curiosity, and wonder.  Our program focuses on social and emotional learning and teaches Judaism through movement, games, outdoor learning, art, music, and more.

You are a good candidate for the position if you are creative, curious, flexible, responsive, organized, and enthusiastic about Judaism.

Job Details:

• Be onsite teaching a Judaica class for three hours every Sunday morning when school is in session.  We take off for school breaks and holidays.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans based on a provided curricular outline.
• Compose brief monthly emails to class parents.
• Attend quarterly staff meetings/professional development sessions.
• Ability to teach a specialty such as music, dance, cooking, gardening, etc. is a plus.

Salary is $60/hr.
