Description

Beth Meyer Synagogue, a Jewish house of prayer and learning community, invites applications for half-time work as a Development Coordinator. An indispensable partner to our Executive Director, the Development Coordinator co-steers annual fundraising campaigns and executes administrative and special projects to grow Beth Meyer Synagogue and support innovation. This job is new, and we welcome your creative vision for it!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Campaign operations. Support the Executive Director to run the Annual Campaign and manage stewardship and gift acknowledgement and reporting activities. Collaborate with volunteer leaders to steer a gala event to thank contributors.
  • Database management. Manage donor and prospect records in ShulCloud, a synagogue-specific CRM. Direct records entry to protect data health and creatively support engagement and campaign operations.
  • Grants Management. Direct grants research and submissions to cultivate the financial resources necessary for expansionary activities (e.g., capital replacement, talent recruitment).
  • Executive assistance. Deliver administrative and special project support to the Executive Director as requested in multiple functional areas.
  • Human resource administration. Support the Executive Director and team leaders to implement procedures for people management (e.g., leave-tracking, updating work documents).

Qualifications:

  1. 1-3 years of work experience is required.
  2. Basic knowledge of Judaism and experience with database administration are pluses.

Compensation and Benefits:

  1. The base salary range for the Development Coordinator job is $27,500 - $30,000.
  2. The Development Coordinator works 20 hours per week and co-determines with the Executive Director their work schedule. Enjoy a workweek that fits your personal needs!
  3. The base vacation leave award for the Development Coordinator is two weeks. The Development Coordinator earns pay on office holidays. Leave is permitted for other reasons (e.g., preventative care, mourning) described in our Employee Handbook.
  4. Funds for training and professional development are available for this job and are disbursable at the Executive Director’s discretion.
