Position Summary

Kohelet Yeshiva is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations and administrative functions of our school. This position requires strong bookkeeping skills, proficiency in office management tasks, and high level computer skills. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts 
  • Accurately process financial transactions and pay invoices in a timely manner
  • Manage cash receipts and bank deposits 
  • Complete payroll journal entries in Quickbooks Online
  • Assist with the month-end close process
  • Manage collection efforts
  • Post financial transactions in Quickbooks Online and school database
  • Schedule meetings, filing and other administrative duties
  • Communicate with parents, vendors and school leadership



  • Qualified candidates should possess an associate’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent bookkeeping experience minimum of five years in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management roles – preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks Online, Google Suite and MS Office.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.


  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($55,000-$70,000)
