Description

Tamid of Hebrew College, one of the nation’s leading providers of Jewish education, has a position available for a part-time Program and Relationship Director - Ulpan and Hebrew Language.  

The successful candidate will oversee the placement of new students, schedule Ulpan courses, form cohorts based on student level and scheduling needs, recruit new students, oversee the implementation of the Ulpan curriculum and supervise instructors in the program.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Manage the Ulpan/Hebrew language program for Tamid of Hebrew College.
  • Hire faculty, recruit students, schedule classes and facilitate placement tests.
  • Supervise instructors and monitor the quality of their work.
  • Collaborate with teachers troubleshooting challenges as they arise.
  • Identify and address administrative and educational issues, reporting them to the Director of Tamid.
  • Schedule regular teacher meetings to plan and build community.
  • Assess incoming students’ Hebrew levels before they are admitted, and in collaboration with faculty, monitor students’ Hebrew levels as they progress through the program.
  • Think outside the box for to generate new opportunities for teaching Hebrew and pursue creative ways to grow the program.
  • Work with the marketing team to create, design, and market exciting and interesting communications for the community
  • Participate as a valued member of the Tamid team; attend team meetings and be a positive contributor to a thriving community learning group.
  • Manage workload throughout the year, with an emphasis on understanding the cyclical nature of the role.

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Exceptionally organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple complex tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, especially across all levels of the organization and pleasant demeanor.
  • Flexible work style with the ability to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities. Capable of working independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High level of professionalism with the ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.

 

SKILLS: 

 

  • Proven success in managing an educational program.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Hebrew required.
  • Experience in teaching Hebrew as a second language on an academic level preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

 

 

 

Salary36,000.00 - 40,000.00 Annual
