This role presents an exciting opportunity for a passionate and strategic fundraising professional to strengthen and expand a vibrant, mission-driven organization serving the Greenwich Jewish community. The Director of Philanthropic Engagement will play a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s philanthropic initiatives, building lasting donor relationships, and enhancing community impact through innovative programming and meaningful engagement. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to help shape the future of a growing organization with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong commitment to cultural, educational, and philanthropic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of Women’s Philanthropy, fostering engagement.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward a personal portfolio of donors while expanding the organization’s overall donor base.
  • Develop and manage a campaign calendar encompassing annual giving, major donor outreach, and signature fundraising events.
  • Oversee key fundraising and community events.
  • Collaborate with the team to produce an Annual Report and maintain accurate donor records and communications.
  • Establish clear, measurable goals to evaluate fundraising impact and program success, utilizing data to inform strategy and strengthen donor engagement.
  • Coordinate logistics, agendas, and materials for meetings, ensuring timely follow-up and professional delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of four years of progressive experience in fundraising, development, or related non-profit leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, event-based fundraising, and community engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of Jewish values, traditions, and culture, and support for Israel’s right to exist as the Jewish homeland.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact), and donor management databases; experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge preferred.
