Description

Temple Beth-El, Ithaca NY [www.tbeithaca.org], a welcoming, progressive, egalitarian congregation, seeks a dynamic educator-administrator to serve as Director of Education and Engagement, effective July 1, 2023.  This full-time leadership position includes the responsibilities of directing the Religious School (pre-K through high school), Youth Activities, and Family Programming.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong background and experience as a Jewish educator, a commitment to Jewish life, and the imagination and energy to engage current and attract new members to an active synagogue community.  We seek an individual with strong communication skills, judgment, and maturity, as well as experience managing staff and budgets.  A master's degree in Jewish Education or its equivalent is required.  The Search Committee will begin reviewing applications immediately, and will continue until the position is filled.
