Description

Jewish and Student Life Associate: Part Time or Full Time for 2023/2024 School Year

Come design, facilitate, and support meaningful student programming as a member of the Jewish and Student Life Team at JCHS (the “Team”), starting August 2023!

We are seeking a part-time or full-time creative and organized educator who cares deeply about enriching the JCHS student experience outside of the classroom, and brings enthusiasm, programming skills, and a collaborative spirit to the team.

The JCHS  student life program empowers each student to explore their passions, celebrate Jewish traditions in a pluralistic environment, participate in shaping, and develop a sense of belonging in our school community. The Team oversees programs such as service learning, student clubs, schoolwide Jewish holiday celebrations, all-school and grade level trips, and weekly assemblies.

As a pluralistic Jewish high school, JCHS students represent the diversity of Jewish practice and identity in the Bay Area. Educator commitment to the mission of the school is essential, but religious affiliation is not a factor in hiring. We believe our students learn best from a diverse faculty and extended professional community and welcome people of any race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation and marital status to come work with our students.

At JCHS full-time salaries are one component of a compensation package that includes retirement contributions, daily lunch, on-site parking, health, dental, vision, and life/AD&D insurance. The anticipated full-time annual base salary range the school reasonably expects to pay candidates for the full-time position of a Student Life Associate is $55,000 to $65,000 depending on factors such as the candidate’s years of professional experience, with additional stipends available for advanced degrees and certain additional duties. Compensation and benefits for a part-time position will be adjusted accordingly with some benefits requiring a minimum level of work.
