Your work will directly impact thousands of women seeking greater participation in Jewish religious, communal, and intellectual life.

What You'll Create

  • Identify emerging issues and opportunities for impactful programming around ritual inclusion, leadership, education, and advocacy
  • Develop new campaign ideas that respond to community needs and advance our mission
  • Balance planned programming with nimble responses to timely community concerns

Collaborative Leadership

  • Partner with Jofa staff, lay leaders, and allied organizations to implement innovative programs
  • Serve as lead staff person for signature events including the Jofa Conference and Annual Dinner
  • Oversee program interns and consultants, providing mentorship and guidance
  • Coordinate Jofa's presence at partner-sponsored community events
  • Work closely with the Communications Manager to provide compelling content for digital platforms

Program Implementation & Evaluation

  • Manage all logistics for both in-person and virtual programming
  • Work with the Manager for Institutional Advancement on communication strategies across all program stages
  • Create meaningful metrics to evaluate program success and impact
  • Develop relationships with community partners to extend Jofa's reach nationally and locally
  • Ensure that all programs embody Jofa's values and advance our strategic priorities

Who You Are

  • A passionate advocate who embraces Jofa's mission at the intersection of Orthodox Judaism and feminism
  • An experienced program developer with 3-5 years in Jewish communal service or related fields
  • Someone who understands the nuances of Orthodox Jewish life and the dynamics of community change
  • A strategic thinker who can translate big ideas into actionable programs
  • An exceptional multi-tasker with meticulous attention to detail and deadlines
  • A collaborative leader comfortable working across teams and with diverse stakeholders
  • Someone with strong working knowledge of Hebrew and Jewish texts
  • A problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments
  • Someone who is comfortable with occasional irregular hours for events and programs

Technical Skills

  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities
  • Proficiency with program management and communication tools
  • Experience with virtual event platforms and social media
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

Why Join Us

  • Drive meaningful change in the Orthodox Jewish community
  • Work with passionate colleagues dedicated to gender equity within halakha

  • Competitive salary: $60,000-$65,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Comprehensive benefits including health coverage, paid time off, and Jewish holidays
  • Opportunity to shape the future of Orthodox feminism
