This is a full-time, salaried position on our staff and is responsible for a broad range of administrative and managerial duties.  It requires skills in the areas of people management, communications, and computers [Microsoft Word and Excel, Desktop Publishing (Microsoft Publisher, Constant Contact) as well as the ability to learn Salesforce, basic web publishing, and calendaring (Microsoft Outlook)].  Familiarity with the Hebrew language is recommended, but not required. 

This position reports directly to the Director of Lifelong Learning and the Director of Young Family Engagement to assist in day-to-day operations of the Religious School (Beit Sefer), Young Family programs and Adult Education programs, and provides administrative support whenever needed.   An important aspect of this position is to work closely with the Directors to facilitate strong communications with the faculty and parent community by implementing regular communications and instituting strategies that ensure that the mission of the school and its program is widely known and understood. 

Communication strategies also expand to the general congregational community with the goal of facilitating a better understanding and participation of all of Beth Emet’s educational programs, both formal and informal.  In this capacity, the Educational Programs Administrator will work closely with the Communications Manager to ensure that educational programs are strategically communicated and targeted to ensure key messaging is integrated seamlessly into Beth Emet’s overall communications approach.    

The person in this position will also work to create and implement office systems and ensure that they are properly functioning and that tasks are receiving proper attention.  The position works closely with the Directors of Lifelong Learning and Young Family Engagement maintaining all registrations and student records, communicating with children, parents and faculty, and coordinating all room usage with the synagogue.  

There is significant contact with members of Beth Emet, and the person in this position is an integral part of a strong customer service base.  A strong and well-balanced combination of people/customer service-centric, organizational and computer skills, as well as the ability to attend to numerous details will mark the ideal candidate for this position.
