General Studies Teachers - Elementary School - 2024/2025 Academic Year

The Lubavitch Hebrew Academy is seeking dynamic, growth-mindset Elementary School educators to join its dedicated team. 

LHA's school culture supports its faculty with caring administrators as well as veteran mentors to implement new initiatives and encourages the faculty to introduce programs that help our students grow in new and powerful ways. 

LHA supports its academic program with guidance counselors implementing co-curricular Social-Emotional Learning programs.
LHA provides monthly professional development during school hours.
LHA is a community school, and creates a community inside its walls through monthly staff appreciation programs to support and energize the faculty. 

 

The ideal candidate will have completed a four-year college program in education or similar field, will have 2+ years experience teaching in a mainstream classroom, and will have experience in informal education settings as well.

Essential duties and Responsibilities include:

? Plans and implements appropriate daily activities to meet the needs of the students in the class
? Responsibility for the safety of each child.
? Interacts with children throughout the day and encourages their interactions in the classroom.
? Provides a clean and orderly environment for the children.
? Keeps a record of each child’s progress throughout the year.
? Maintains written records and assessments on children.
? Maintains good communication with parents and follows the communication policy in the handbook.
? Adheres to all school policies and procedures.
? Assigns appropriate homework as per the guidelines set out in the faculty handbook.
? Report any student concerns, academic or social-emotional, to the Principal.
? Integrate appropriate use of technology into the classroom in order to enhance or supplement the curriculum.
